This privacy policy describes how Medley & Company ("we," "us," "our") handles data in connection with our internal Team Expense Tracker application and its integration with QuickBooks Online.
Who this applies to. This application is for internal use by authorized Medley & Company personnel only. It is not available to the general public and is not offered as a commercial product or service to third parties.
What data we access. With authorization from a Medley & Company QuickBooks Online account, this application reads and writes accounting data (including expense transactions, vendor and customer references, and attached receipt images) for the purpose of automatically recording company credit card expenses and, where applicable, marking them as billable to the appropriate client or affiliated entity.
How we use this data. Data accessed through this integration is used solely for internal accounting and bookkeeping purposes — specifically, to record expense transactions in QuickBooks Online that were originally logged by staff in our internal expense-tracking system, and to attach the corresponding receipt for recordkeeping.
Data sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties. Data flows only between our internal expense-tracking system and our own QuickBooks Online company file.
Data security. Access to QuickBooks Online through this integration is authorized via OAuth 2.0 and restricted to designated company personnel. Credentials used to operate this integration are not shared publicly and are stored using access-controlled tools.
Data retention. Data is retained within QuickBooks Online and our internal expense-tracking system according to our normal business recordkeeping practices.
